Description
From Four Pillars in Healesville, Victoria, this gin was designed with one cocktail in mind. The Spiced Negroni Gin was built to push back against the drink's bitterness, leaning on a spice-heavy bill that includes cinnamon, cassia, ginger, West African grains of paradise and cubeb alongside the usual juniper, cardamom and citrus. At 43.8% it carries the weight to hold its place in a stirred drink.
The nose is fruity and citrus-edged with pepper, cardamom and aniseed; the palate is sweet and fruity, lemon and layered spice running over juniper. The finish is long and warming. As the name promises, it is at its best stirred into a Negroni with a good red vermouth and a slice of orange.
