Flor de Cana TERRA 2017 is a 6 Year Old Nicaraguan ron from Compania Licorera, the distillery behind Flor de Cana. The brand is known for slow ageing and a genuine no added sugar policy, with hydrometer tests showing it runs effectively dry, and this 2017 vintage is column distilled and matured in ex-bourbon oak at 40%.

Where much of the Spanish style leans sweet and smooth, Flor de Cana goes cleaner and more spirit forward, and TERRA shows it: roasted notes, spice, polish and a nutty edge on the nose, then wood, chocolate, dryness and nuttiness on the palate, closing rounded and peppery with cinnamon and nuts. The absence of dosage is the selling point here, letting the oak, dry chocolate and spice speak without a sugary veil.
