Figuière is an organic estate in the Côtes de Provence making this pale dry rosé from Cinsault, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Direct pressing keeps it delicate, with redcurrant, white peach and a fresh herbal lift typical of the region.
Description
Figuière is a family estate in the Côtes de Provence, farming organically on the warm, dry hills inland from the Mediterranean coast. This rosé blends Cinsault, Grenache and Mourvèdre grown on poor, free draining soils under abundant Provençal sun, with coastal influence and cool nights helping to retain freshness. The grapes are picked early to preserve acidity and gently direct pressed, taking only brief skin contact so the colour stays pale and the structure light. Fermentation in stainless steel at low temperature protects the delicate aromatics and keeps the style crisp and dry. The colour is pale salmon with a faint pink tint. The nose is fresh and precise, showing redcurrant, white peach and melon over citrus peel, white flowers and a dry garrigue herb note. The palate is light and dry, with bright acidity, gentle red berry fruit and a clean saline finish. This is a classic aperitif rosé built for warm weather drinking. Serve at 8 to 10 degrees. It works with grilled fish, summer salads, charcuterie and lighter chicken dishes.
