Description
Serrocielo is a single-varietal Falanghina from Feudi di San Gregorio, sourced from the Sannio hills of inland Campania in southern Italy. Falanghina is an old Campanian grape valued for its freshness and aromatic lift, grown here on volcanic and limestone soils that reinforce the wine's mineral character. The vineyards sit at altitude, where hot days and cool nights hold acidity and preserve the grape's delicate aromatics. The wine is aged for around six months on its lees in stainless steel, a method that adds gentle texture and body while stainless steel and the absence of oak keep the fruit crisp and the aromatics primary. It pours a bright pale straw, with white peach, lemon and green apple lifted by white flowers and a light saline note. The palate is dry and fresh, driven by clean acidity and a mineral, citrus finish. Serve well chilled at 8 to 10 degrees.
