Old Manada is bottled by Maison Ferroni, the Marseille based house known for its unsweetened, cask strength approach, here turning to a white rum that puts fresh cane front and centre. Released without an age statement and at a robust 47%, it reads as a cane juice leaning white built for those who want the raw material to speak rather than a soft, neutralised mixer base.

The nose is dominated by sugarcane with floral and vegetal lift and a fresh, green quality, while the palate stays sweet and syrupy with that cane character and a demerara sugar edge. A distinctive eucalyptus note takes over the finish, growing as the rum opens and giving it a cooling, almost medicinal signature that sets it apart from blander whites. At full proof and unaged, it shows the cane and the still clearly, a white rum with genuine personality.
