This La Dame Jeanne 15 comes from Maison Ferroni, the Provence bottler working in the unsweetened tradition, here presenting an unaged Martinique blanc made from fresh sugar cane juice on a creole column. It is bottled at a bracing 57%, with the AOC's pure cane-juice character on full display.

The spirit is intensely agricole, the nose leading on sugarcane, floral and mineral notes, the palate adding a smoky, almost volcanic edge with spice, the finish saline and earthy with leather and iodine over the persistent cane. Unsweetened and assertive, it shows the grassy, mineral, savoury side of Martinique blanc rather than ripe fruit.
