Description
Famille Ricci Zodiac Belier 2024 is a blend from the French house Famille Ricci, marrying rum from Belize with a measure of Hampden's DOK marque, the Jamaican distillery's highest ester recipe. Aged fifteen years in ex bourbon oak and bottled at 56.5%, it sets rounded Belizean character against Hampden's intensity, with the Belize component leading at roughly eighty five percent and the DOK around fifteen.
The nose is tropical and sweet with pineapple and coconut, the palate brings wood, tropical fruit and allspice, and the finish carries chocolate, wood, ester and more tropical fruit. The clever part is how the DOK funk is tamed by the rounded Belize chocolate and coconut, the Jamaican mark coming out to play in the middle without overwhelming the blend. Pot still funk meets velvety esters and balanced oak in a way drinkers find genuinely harmonious.
