Famille Ricci OVNI 13 2000 comes from Famille Ricci, the French outfit known for unconventional, characterful rum selections, the OVNI name signalling something out of the ordinary. This release blends rum from more than one country, carrying a 2000 vintage and a substantial twenty-four years of age.
Matured in ex-bourbon wood and bottled unsweetened at a powerful 64%, it is a serious, full proof sipper. The long ageing and several origins make for an intricate, well balanced blend where the components knit closely together, with plenty of fruit in the mix. Expect a deep, dry and intense pour that rewards patient, neat drinking and a little water to open it up.
