Famille Ricci Fruity Bomb is an island blend from the French house Famille Ricci, and it is named with refreshing directness. Built from both column and pot still rum and bottled unsweetened at 42% with no age statement, it sets out to do one thing, deliver a glass full of ripe tropical fruit, and it commits to it fully.

The ester-driven fruit is the whole show. The nose bursts with banana, pineapple, mango and an overripe tropical edge, the kind of exuberant fruitiness that comes from pot still character within the blend. The palate carries straight through, banana and mango leading with that overripe lift kept front and centre. There is little here to distract from the fruit, and that is by design.
