Famille Ricci Famille Ricci – L’exception – 20 ans

Famille Ricci L'exception 20 ans is a twenty year old Panamanian rum from Varela Hermanos, the dominant Panama producer and a major bulk source for independent bottlers, here selected by the French house Famille Ricci. Two decades of ageing places it among the more serious Panamanian releases.

Matured in ex-bourbon and bottled at a strong 56%, it should keep the soft Panama signature of vanilla, caramel and mellow oak while the higher strength and long maturation add depth and grip. The added-sugar status is not recorded, but the full-proof framing points to a richer, more concentrated reading of the Panama style than the country's gentler 40% bottlings.
