Description
An Enmore REV from Germany's Rum Artesanal, drawn off a single wooden pot still and matured for more than twenty-seven years. The REV marque is among the most prized of the old Enmore profiles, and this single cask shows why, dry and dark with serious depth.
Matured in ex-bourbon oak and bottled unsweetened at 53.1%, it leads with dried plum, raisin, leather, tobacco, licorice and heavy oak, all knitted together with herbal lift. The alcohol sits well integrated despite the strength, and the finish runs long on tobacco, prune and barrel. This is old continental Demerara at its most characterful, a reference point for the REV style that asks only for time and attention in the glass.
