A 22 year old Demerara off the Enmore wooden Coffey still, the last of its kind, aged in ex-bourbon oak and bottled unsweetened at 56.5%, with dried fruit, dark chocolate, caramel, old oak and a menthol lift.

Description
Enmore is one of Guyana's heritage marques, made on a wooden continuous Coffey still built in 1880 and widely held to be the last operating wooden Coffey still in the world, now preserved at Diamond. Lighter and more elegant than the heavy Port Mourant pot, it still wears the unmistakable Demerara wood stamp. This release is a 1993 vintage carried to twenty two years, matured in ex-bourbon oak with no added sugar.
Bottled at 56.5%, it shows the dry, classic Demerara profile that collectors prize. The nose is generous, with dried apricot, raisin, caramel and gentle chocolate, while the palate brings spice, wood, vanilla and tobacco over a brown sugar base, finishing woody and spiced. The long tropical ageing has built real depth, yet it stays balanced and surprisingly easy to sip for its strength. One for drinkers who already enjoy dry, old school Demerara and want age and complexity without a harsh edge.
