Description
Roc and Leo Gramona grow Enclos de Peralba Tres Feixes at Pla de Manlleu, the highest part of the Penedes in Catalonia, from the indigenous white grape Garnacha Blanca. The project, begun in 2017, is built on reviving old Penedes traditions through biodynamic farming and minimal-intervention winemaking. Altitude is the key to the site: the cool nights at this elevation slow ripening and lock in acidity and aromatic detail, while the calcareous soils add a saline, mineral backbone. Garnacha Blanca ripens to a ripe, textured fruit but keeps a firm structure when grown high and picked in balance. The wine is barrel fermented and aged nine months in oak, which adds weight and a light nutty tone while the lees round out the palate. Farming and cellar work are kept low-touch to let the site show through. The colour is bright gold. The nose shows ripe peach, pear, white flowers and a herbal, thyme-like note, with almond and beeswax underneath. The palate is textured and dry, with lemon acidity and a long saline finish. Serve at 11 to 13 degrees.

Additional information
A good match for roast chicken and oily fish such as grilled tuna, where the barrel weight and texture hold up. The herbal, saline edge also suits roasted root vegetables and squash.
