Description
This is the cristalino version of the El Tequileño Reposado Gran Reserva, made at La Guarreña in the town of Tequila, a single brand distillery founded in 1959 that draws volcanic spring water from the Volcán de Tequila. It is a 100% Blue Weber tequila aged four months in American oak, then carbon filtered to strip the colour back to clear. A cristalino is aged then decolourised, not an unaged blanco, so it keeps barrel sweetness while losing most of the visible oak.
Filtration softens the wood grip and lets a fruit driven, sweet leaning profile come through: pineapple, mango and pear with a light touch of vanilla on both nose and palate. It lands soft and rounded at 35%, the lowest strength the category allows. Best over ice or lengthened with soda in a tall glass.
