El Ron del Artesano Blanco

El Ron del Artesano Blanco is an unaged Panamanian white ron, molasses-based and bottled clear at 40%. Where most of the country's output is soft and aged, this is a fresh, unaged expression built to show the spirit itself rather than barrel influence.

The profile is bright and cane-driven. The nose is fresh with citrus, sugarcane and grass, the palate turns oily with citrus, sugarcane and a vegetal edge, and the finish stays light and gently sweet with more sugarcane and citrus. It reads cleaner and greener than its molasses base might suggest, closer in spirit to a fresh cane white than a heavy aged rum. A versatile, lightly sweet white rum that shines in daiquiris and mojitos, where its citrus-and-cane freshness comes into its own.
