Earthy and floral with cocoa, herbs and a dry roasted coffee whisper, this is a genuine 100% Blue Weber reposado rested three months in bourbon casks seasoned with dark Brazilian beans, not a coffee liqueur.

Description
El Mayor Café Reposado is a real 100% Blue Weber tequila produced at the González family distillery in Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco, under NOM 1603. Unlike a sweet coffee liqueur, it gains its dry coffee character through cask treatment alone, with no sugar or coffee syrup blended in afterward. The house works only with agave, water and yeast.
Used bourbon barrels are filled with dark roasted Brazilian coffee beans for four to six weeks so the wood absorbs their aroma, then the beans are removed and the tequila rests three months in those seasoned casks. The result is earthy and floral on the nose, underpinned by gentle vanilla and coffee bean. The palate is surprisingly dry, opening with mineral notes and cooked agave before cocoa, herbs and a touch of roasted coffee arrive, closing silky and soft with a lingering, restrained coffee finish.
