Edelweiss The Alpine Vodka Kitzbühel is an Austrian vodka built from rye and spelt with Alpine spring water. That grain mix gives it a fine cereal character with a touch of rye spice, balanced by a silky body. Distilled in small batches and bottled at 40%, it is clean, mild and clearly drawn.

Description
Edelweiss The Alpine Vodka Kitzbühel is distilled at the Freihof Destillerie in Austria, drawing on Alpine spring water and an unusual grain bill of rye and spelt. Rye brings a peppery backbone and spelt a softer, nuttier grain note, so the blend lands somewhere between spice and smoothness rather than at either extreme. Small-batch distillation keeps the spirit clean and even, and at 40% it stays silky while still carrying a clear cereal signature, with the Kitzbühel name tying it to its mountain home.
The nose is mild, fresh and pure with subtle cereal notes and a mineral edge, the palate silky with clear grain, a light sweetness and gentle minerality, and the finish is long and clean. With that grain clarity worth showing off, pour it over a single large block of ice and let it open slowly as it dilutes, then set it beside a plate of smoked trout, where the rye spice and the fish's smoke meet without either one taking over.
