Real saffron gilds this Scottish gin gold and lends it a velvety, faintly sweet spice, juniper and cinnamon meeting liquorice and bright citrus along the way. Named for the warm late glow of an Indian summer, it balances floral, spicy and fresh notes with poise. Complex, elegant and quietly warming.

Description
Duncan Taylor named this gin for the Indian summer, that warm spell of late-autumn sunlight and deep colour, and let real saffron do the visual work, infusing the spirit a glowing golden yellow. Distilled in Scotland, it layers a full bill of botanicals around the juniper: saffron, coriander, cinnamon, angelica and orris root, liquorice, almond and lemon and orange peel, the saffron adding both colour and a velvety, subtle spice.
The nose shows fine juniper, gentle saffron, citrus, floral nuance and a touch of liquorice. The palate is complex and elegant, juniper meeting saffron, cinnamon and liquorice with a fine sweetness and fresh citrus, before a long, warm, gently sweet finish. Serve it in a G&T with a floral tonic and orange zest or a cardamom pod, or sip it neat over ice to catch every thread.
