Dos Maderas Origen

Dos Maderas Origen brings the brand's signature multi stage approach to a Thai rum, aged twelve years and bottled at 47%. The line is built on a sherry finishing tradition, and here that sweet, fortified wine influence shapes much of the character, so a clear sherried sweetness is part of the design.

The spirit is matured in ex-bourbon oak before its sherry stage, and the result runs to coconut, cocoa and dried fruit on the nose, with vanilla, toffee, chocolate and dried fruit on a soft palate. The finish stays sherried and fruity with more coconut and cocoa. Sugar is undeclared, though the sherry character delivers obvious sweetness, making it an approachable, dessert leaning sipper that drinks easily at its moderate strength.
