Description
Dormoy Depaz Punch Cacahuète is a flavoured rhum, a punch made by macerating peanut and sweetening over an agricole base from Depaz, the Martinique distillery at the foot of Mont Pelée. This is the sweet, easy end of the French-island repertoire rather than a dry agricole, and the copy is honest about that.
No formal tasting notes are recorded. By the nature of a punch cacahuète, expect a sweet, creamy peanut character over the grassy cane spirit, gentle and dessert-leaning at just 18%. It is made to be poured cold over ice as an aperitif or after dinner, not sipped neat for the rum itself.
