Domaine Lafage Coté Rosé 2025

Domaine Lafage works in Roussillon, in the deep south of France near the Spanish border, and bottles this rosé as Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes. It is certified organic and blends Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Roussillon climate is hot and dry, swept by the tramontane wind off the Pyrenees, which keeps disease pressure low and helps natural ripeness, while cooler nights and stony soils retain acidity in the finished wine. Direct pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel protect the fruit and the pale colour, with no oak so the focus stays on freshness and primary aromatics rather than texture. The colour is a pale raspberry pink. The nose shows raspberry, strawberry and peach with subtle citrus and a herbal note. The palate is dry and crisp, the red fruit framed by clean acidity and a faint saline grip, closing fresh and savoury. Serve chilled at 8 to 10 degrees. It suits an aperitif and moves easily onto grilled fish, summer salads and goat cheese.
