A triple-vintage blanc from Carrere under the Marie Louise label, blending three years of fresh Guadeloupe cane juice into a saline, herbal white with citrus, orange and grass, dry and coastal at 55%.
Description
Bottled by Domaine de Bel Air under its Marie Louise label, this Carrere blanc blends fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice from the 2022, 2023 and 2024 harvests, a triple-millesime approach to an unaged white. As Guadeloupe agricole it carries the IGP, and the blend aims for consistency of character across vintages rather than a single year's snapshot.
The profile is distinctly maritime for a cane-juice rum, fresh and floral with citrus and sugar-cane on the nose, then a herbal, iodine-tinged, almost salty palate that recalls a coastal blanc. The finish brings orange, apple and grass. Bottled at 55% and unsweetened, it is dry, green and briny, leaning into the savoury end of the agricole spectrum, a white made for sipping with water or for a Ti' Punch with real bite.
