Disaronno 500 Years Anniversary Edition Stile

The Disaronno 500 Years Anniversary Edition Stile is a limited dress of the defining Italian amaretto from Saronno, whose signature almond character is in fact a trick of the apricot kernel rather than any tree nut, layered with burnt sugar and the essences of herbs and fruits. The anniversary bottling marks five centuries of the brand's Italian style, with the liquid bottled at 28%.

The nose is almond accented, gently sweet and harmoniously interwoven, the palate round and balanced with the characteristic almond note, closing soft, long and elegant. Behind the bar it works as a nutty sweetener with real body, the role amaretto plays across the canon: it carries the Amaretto Sour, turns a Scotch into a Godfather and a Cognac into a French Connection, and a splash rounds out coffee or a Manhattan riff. Pour it neat at room temperature or over ice to show its style, or reach for it wherever a drink wants an almond and marzipan note.
