Warm vanilla and toffee roll up first, with juniper and bright citrus following close behind. Rested in ex-rum casks at the Dictador house in Cartagena, it borrows a soft amber sweetness and a whisper of toasted oak. Silky, faintly spiced, and built for slow Colombian evenings.

Description
From Destileria Colombiana in Cartagena, the house behind Dictador rum, comes an aged gin that wears its provenance proudly. Juniper, citrus and a clutch of warm spices are distilled in the usual way, then laid to rest in casks that once held the distillery's own rum. That barrel time is the trick: it lends the spirit a light golden cast and a rounded, slightly sweet depth you rarely meet in a London Dry.
The nose opens on juniper and fresh citrus before honey and vanilla drift up from the wood. The palate is soft and layered, spicy herbs threaded through sweet fruit, toasted oak and a flick of caramel and almond. It finishes long and silky, gently sweet with a quiet warmth. Pour it over ice with a good orange-zest tonic, or build it into a barrel-aged Negroni.
