Dictador Parrafo I Borbon is a single cask Colombian ron from Destileria Colombiana, distilled in 2001 and bottled at 21 years old at 44%. The Borbon name points to maturation in ex-bourbon wood, the most classic cask choice for aged rum, here over two decades.
Colombian ron in the Dictador mould typically leans on coffee, cocoa, vanilla, oak and dried fruit, and at this age the ex-bourbon influence should bring deep vanilla and toasted wood over a dark, rounded body. Bottled as a single cask at 44%, this is a mature, full-flavoured Colombian rum.
