Description
This Dictador 2 Master release captures a single cask distilled in 1979, a notable forty-five years old, from Destileria Colombiana. Rum of this age is rare, and a single-cask example sits firmly in collector territory.
Aged in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at 41%, it should carry deep oak, vanilla and the coffee and cocoa notes characteristic of the Dictador house, intensified by decades in barrel. Expect concentration and dried-fruit depth rather than brute strength at this proof. Added sugar is not disclosed; with this much time in oak, the richness should be barrel-driven.
