Dellavalle Limon

Dellavalle Limon is an Italian lemon liqueur from the Distilleria Dellavalle in Piedmont, which by its own account has made artisan spirits since 1983. Selected aromatic lemons are used, their peel slowly and gently macerated to draw out the essential oils and natural freshness, bottled at 30% for a liqueur that balances sweetness against a lively citrus intensity.

The nose is intense citrus freshness, natural lemon peel and a subtle sweetness, the palate fresh, slightly sweet, citrusy and pleasantly mild, closing long, fruity and clean. Behind the bar it adds bright lemon flavour, aromatic lift and a clean acidity, useful in a spritz, a fizz or a citrus sour where it sharpens the drink. It harmonises with desserts such as lemon tart, panna cotta, fruit salad or sorbet. Serve it chilled as a digestif or over ice as a refreshing aperitif, or reach for it whenever a drink wants clean lemon.
