Description
DDL Diamond Reserve Spiced Rum is the distillery's flavoured Guyanese rum, a molasses base built around added spice and bottled at a soft 35%. As a spiced expression it is openly a flavoured, sweeter style rather than a dry aged sipper, and is positioned for cola, cocktails and easy drinking.
Spiced rums in this mould typically lean on vanilla, cinnamon, clove and warm baking spice over the Demerara molasses backbone, with sweetness part of the package. It sits well away from the brooding pot-still heritage bottlings and is honestly a mixing and flavour-led rum. A friendly, aromatic spiced rum from the home of Demerara, made for long drinks rather than slow contemplation.
