Damoiseau Blanc

Damoiseau Blanc is a white agricole from Damoiseau, the largest distillery in Guadeloupe and a major export name, working under the island's IGP rather than an AOC. Distilled from fresh sugarcane juice and bottled at 55%, it is reduced from a high distillation strength to a robust cane forward white.

The profile sits on the savoury, mineral side of cane juice. Sugarcane, florals and a saline edge lead the nose, the palate is salty and oily with grassy cane and floral lift, and the finish runs warm with more cane and a citrus thread. This is dry, rustic and unapologetically cane driven, with the proof giving it real presence.
