Dake Kanba Blended Malt Whisky

Dake Kanba Blended Malt Whisky is a no age statement release from Mars Shinshu, the Hombo Shuzo distillery perched in the Central Alps of Nagano at around 800 metres above sea level. Restarted in 2011, the distillery is known for its clean, cool-climate new make, and the Dake Kanba bottling draws on that character in an accessible, Japan-market expression.

Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at 43%, the whisky reflects the house style: light fruit, gentle vanilla and a subtle freshness shaped by the mountain environment. Without specific flavour data for this bottling, the palate is best described in terms of the typical Mars Shinshu register, a clean and delicate malt-led profile with soft wood integration from the Ex-Bourbon maturation.
