Curado Tequila Blanco Espadin Agave Infused

Curado is a project of three families, the Estes name behind Tequila Ocho, the Camarena house of El Tesoro and Tapatío, and Vantguard. It is built on a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila blanco that is then infused with cooked agave, an idea drawn from Mexican curados, the flavoured pulques traditionally steeped with fruit and spice. This expression is infused with Espadín agave from Oaxaca, and it remains a tequila throughout.
There is no barrel ageing here and no added colour, sweetener or other adjustment, only the maceration of cooked Espadín into the base spirit. The aroma is agave forward and many sided, with discreet fruit and smoke, while the palate brings soft smoke against light agave sweetness and citrus freshness. The finish carries gentle smoke and fruit. Bottled at 40%.
