The nose is whisky-led with smoke, roasted and burnt notes, and the palate comes across thin and diluted with a sharp, rough edge that feels lean for the strength. The finish stays smoky, charred, roasted and tobacco-tinged. Bottled at 61% from a pot-still distillation, it shows how an assertive finishing cask can overwhelm a Jamaican base, with little of the island's tropical fruit surviving the transfer.
