Description
From Claxton's Exploration Series, this Croftengea is one of Loch Lomond's heavily peated malts, a young 4 year old from 2017 in ex-Bourbon.
Four years in ex-Bourbon leave the peat bright and vigorous, the low-tannin oak lending a little vanilla.
At 50% it shows citrus, dried fruit, an oily texture and tobacco over a young wood smoke, guaiacol and tarry phenols behind the reek. A young peated Croftengea.
