Brave New Spirits, a single-cask independent, bottles this Croftengea in its Cask Masters Distiller's Cut series. A heavily peated Loch Lomond malt, a young 8 year old from 2016.
Eight years in ex-Bourbon leave the peat bright, the low-tannin oak lending a little vanilla.
At 57.9% the wood smoke is vigorous over the malt, guaiacol and phenols driving the reek. A young peated Croftengea.
