Description
North Star Spirits, the Glasgow independent founded by Iain Croucher, bottles this Croftengea in its Cask Series. A heavily peated Loch Lomond malt, a 13 year old from 2007.
Thirteen years in ex-Bourbon soften the peat, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla beneath the smoke.
At 49.5% it shows fresh fruit over the wood smoke, smoke phenols and guaiacol to the fore. A peated Croftengea.
