Daily Dram, a label from The Nectar of Belgium, bottles this Croftengea, one of Loch Lomond's heavily peated malts, a mature 18 year old from 2007 in rum.
Eighteen years in rum lend molasses and a tropical sweetness over the peat, the angel's share having eased the cask over the years.
At 52.1% the rum sweetness plays against a softened wood smoke, guaiacol and cresols carrying the smoke. A rum mature Croftengea.
