From Jack Wiebers' The Bird Lovers series, this Croftengea is Loch Lomond's dense, peaty make, a 12 year old from 2007 bottled at a gentler 46% from cask 50371.
Twelve years in ex-Bourbon let the low-tannin oak round the peat, vanilla beneath the smoke.
At 46% it shows citrus, fresh fruit and honey over the wood smoke, the gentler strength softening the reek. A peated Croftengea.
