Description
From The Whisky Jury, this Croftengea is a heavily peated Loch Lomond style, a 17 year old from 2007, cask 258, a sibling to the other Jury bottling.
Seventeen years in ex-Bourbon soften the peat, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla beneath the smoke.
At 59.2% the wood smoke is vigorous over the malt, guaiacol and phenols driving the reek. A peated Croftengea.
