Description
Hunter Laing, the Laing family firm established in 2013, bottles this Croftengea in its Old Malt Cask range. A heavily peated Loch Lomond malt, a 14 year old from 2006, cask HL 18245.
Fourteen years in ex-Bourbon soften the peat, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla beneath the smoke.
At 50% the wood smoke runs over the malt, guaiacol and cresols carrying the smoke. A peated Old Malt Cask Croftengea.
