Description
The Scotch Single Malt Circle, a German members' bottler, releases this Croftengea, one of Loch Lomond's heavily peated malts, an 11 year old from 2006, cask 512.
Eleven years in ex-Bourbon soften the peat, the oak's vanillin a sweet foil to the smoke.
At 55% it shows fresh fruit over the wood smoke, guaiacol and phenols carrying the reek. A peated Croftengea.
