From Elixir Distillers' Whisky Trail range, this Croftengea is one of Loch Lomond's heavily peated malts, a 15 year old from 2006, cask 342.
Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon soften the peat, the oak's vanillin a sweet foil to the smoke.
At 53.2% the wood smoke runs over the malt, the peat phenols carrying the smoke. A peated Croftengea.
