Description
From German independent Jack Wiebers and its Old Train Line series, this is Croftengea, a heavily peated Loch Lomond style, a 10 year old from 2006 drawn from cask 0207.
Ten years in ex-Bourbon let the low-tannin oak frame a dense peat, vanilla under the smoke.
At 50.3% it shows a malty, medicinal smoke with a sweaty, vegetal edge and new wood, guaiacol and phenols driving the reek. A peated Croftengea.
