Còsmic Destí 2025

Còsmic Destí is the work of Salvador Batlle, a biodynamic grower whose Còsmic Vinyaters project spans Alt Empordà and Baix Penedès in Catalonia. It is an organic, biodynamic and natural orange wine made from Muscat, sourced from a small eco-certified plot. Muscat is one of the most aromatic of all white grapes, and making it as an orange wine, with the juice macerated on its skins, intensifies that perfume while drawing colour and phenolic texture from the skins. The maceration gives the amber hue and a gentle grip, turning a grape often used for sweet wines into a dry, textured table wine. Empordà sits in the north east corner of Catalonia, exposed to the dry Tramontana wind, which keeps the vineyards healthy and concentrates the fruit. The biodynamic farming and minimal intervention let the grape and site speak plainly. The wine is amber in the glass, with a strongly aromatic nose of orange marmalade, apricot, white flowers and a rosewater note typical of Muscat. The palate is dry, perfumed and textured, the floral fruit balanced by fresh acidity and a faint skin tannin, finishing with citrus peel and honey. Serve at 10 to 12 degrees. Its perfume suits spiced dishes.
