Corralejo Tequila Gran Añejo

Corralejo Gran Anejo is a Blue Weber tequila produced at NOM 1368 in Penjamo, Guanajuato, one of the few tequila houses outside Jalisco and set on the historic Hacienda Corralejo, which traces commercial production on the site back to 1755. The crown shaped bottle nods to the era when tequila was first presented to the Spanish. As an anejo it is matured well past the one year minimum, sitting twenty four months in barrel.

The time runs in French Limousin oak, which gives the spirit its deep gold color and a tighter, spicier cask signature than American oak. It is made in small batches without additives or coloring. The nose offers fresh agave over fine wood notes, while the palate brings sweet vanilla with a clear cinnamon thread and gentle dried orange and cocoa, closing on citrus and a note of Armagnac. Bottled at 38%.
