Codigo 1530 Tequila Blanco Rosa

Codigo 1530 Rosa is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from Varo Destilería in Amatitán, one of the few rosé-style blancos on the German market. It is built on fully mature lowland Los Bajos agave and Amatitán water filtered through volcanic soil, with the producer stating no chemical additives, flavours or sweeteners are used.

The agave is cooked by low-pressure autoclave, then milled on the brand's own roller mill to draw only the first-press juice. What makes this a Rosa is a one-month rest in lightly toasted French white oak casks that previously held Napa Valley Cabernet, which lends delicate red-wine and floral notes and the pale pink hue while leaving the bright agave intact. Aromas show agave and red wine, while the palate is sweetly agave-forward with a discreet, unobtrusive touch of French red wine. Bottled at 38%.
