Clément Vieux 15 ans

Clement Vieux 15 ans is a well aged Martinique rhum agricole made from fresh pressed sugar cane juice, distilled at Distillerie du Simon where Clement's spirit is produced. At fifteen years it sits comfortably in the older AOC tiers, far beyond the vieux minimum, and is bottled at a gentle 42% that favours a smooth, easy sipping character over power.

Distilled low on a creole column to retain the cane congeners, then matured in ex bourbon oak, the long ageing has tamed the grassy edge of youth into something rounded and wood led: dried fruits, vanilla, honeyed apple and hay, with leather, coffee and tobacco deeper in, finishing silky and slightly dry. Tropical maturation lends a depth beyond the years, while the moderate strength keeps it approachable. A polished, oak driven agricole for drinkers who like their aged rum mellow and refined, best enjoyed slowly and neat.
