Clement Private Cask Cuvee Speciale BRI 2020 is a single cask from Clement, the 300-year Martinique estate strong in aged agricole. This private selection comes from the 2020 vintage and is given five years in oak.
Distilled from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice and matured in ex-bourbon casks, it is bottled unsweetened at cask strength, 56.8%. As a five year old single cask aged in Martinique's tropical climate, it should show maturity beyond its years: a grassy agricole core layered with vanilla, baking spice and toasted oak, dry and spice-forward. The high strength rewards a little water, and as a single cask it captures one barrel rather than a blended profile.
