Description
Clement is a 300-year Martinique estate, and its Canne Bleue is a single-variety blanc distilled from fresh-pressed blue-cane juice, released annually to capture that harvest. As an unaged Martinique agricole it qualifies under the island's AOC, where fresh cane juice and no added sugar are the rule.
The nose is classic blanc, sugar-cane and lime with a vegetal, herbal lift, while the palate keeps the cane front and centre alongside a fresh pear note and an oily texture. The finish is herbal, spicy and fresh. Bottled at 50% and unsweetened, it is dry and aromatic rather than sweet, a polished, single-cane expression of Martinique agricole that is the natural heart of a Ti' Punch and a clean introduction to the style.
