Clément Canne Bleue 2021

Clement Canne Bleue 2021 is a single cane white agricole from the Distillerie du Simon, the Martinique site behind the Clement brand, a 300 year estate now part of the GBH group. The Canne Bleue line celebrates a single sugar cane variety, a terroir minded approach the producer leans into.

Distilled from fresh pressed cane juice on a creole column run low to keep the spirit grassy and vegetal, it is bottled unaged and unsweetened at 50 percent. The nose is bright with lime, sugarcane, flowers and fruit, the palate fresh and grassy on cane with vegetal, peppery lift, and the finish stays floral, cane sweet and gently spiced. The texture is notably silky for a blanc, and the focus is finesse and freshness rather than funk or sweetness, an elegant Ti Punch base that also rewards careful neat sipping.
