Clément 1952

Clement 1952 is a strikingly old Martinique rhum agricole, distilled from fresh pressed sugar cane juice on the historic Clement estate and aged some thirty nine years. A bottling of this vintage is a rare window into mid century agricole, the kind of rum that has spent decades in oak yet, at a gentle 44%, retains its composure.

Column distilled and matured in ex bourbon wood, the long years have drawn the spirit toward elegance rather than heaviness: herbal and floral aromatics, chocolate and dried fruit, with caramelised notes, nougat and well polished oak across the palate and finish.
